Twenty more violators of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) imposed total gun ban were arrested by combined police and military authorities during checkpoint operations in various parts of the country on Wednesday. Reports from the National Election Monitoring and Action Center (NEMAC) showed that the latest 20 violators were composed of 18 civilians, a government employee and an active personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). NEMAC reports said the latest violators yielded 16 firearms, composed of 13 low-powered and three high-powered guns; eight different kinds of bladed weapons and 118 various types of explosive devices.
