Research in Motion, or RIM, the Canadian producer of BlackBerry smartphones, has declared it currently implements a global standard which is incompatible with special deals for lawful access requirements, daily Milliyet reported Tuesday.

I hope this is true ... but it seems likely that they would be saying this whether it was true or not considering all the press they've been getting about possible being forced to make deals with governments and then the governments seemingly relenting at the last minute ...
