Security ... think about it!
Terrorism isn’t just bombs and guns… it’s increasingly virtual, as computer networks around the world get more sophisticated. Movies are starting to recognize this: consider Live Free or Die Hard’s “Fire Sale,” which eschewed the series’ usual brand of terrorism for digital havok. And the US Government seems to recognize it too: next week, they are opening their doors to the public to see just how well the government does responding to a full-fledged attack of cyber terrorism. The simulation — dubbed Cyber ShockWave — will include top intelligence and security officials, bringing them together in a simulacrum of the “White House situation room” to respond to a complicated cyber terrorism attack of which none of the key players will have any previous knowledge.
