Philippines police are preparing to file charges against political warlords throughout the country to control violence in the run-up to the presidential elections in May. They are cracking down on at least one hundred armies allegedly maintained by politicians. Police commandos are scouring the island province of Masbate in the central Philippines for private political armies in an effort to control electoral violence.
