A man shot and killed Monday night had forced his way into a home in an attempt to contact a woman who had a restraining order against him, according to police.
Pennsylvania has laws in place to protect individuals who use force in self-defense, but Alloway said he is concerned about Pennsylvania's "duty to retreat" clause, which requires individuals to avoid using force if they can safely retreat or surrender their possessions to an attacker.
Spartanburg County deputies determined that a man who shot two people Monday night outside his residence was acting in self-defense and charged the two men on Tuesday.
