Symantec is on an encryption binge. Today Verisign confirmed reports that it's selling its encryption services division to the antivirus giant for about $1.3 billion. That division represents the main chunk of Verisign's business devoted to cybersecurity, specifically the business of certifying encrypted Web sites and other cryptography products.
