That's the warning from CCW Business Lawyers following the news that the Digital Economy Act has been passed, signalling a distinct change of pace in the battle against online piracy and file sharing sites like Pirate Bay. Alison Marshall, solicitor with CCW, said, "Disconnection may be a year away but the worry for parents who are less computer literate than their kids is that they are often unaware of what their kids are doing online. "If the disconnection power is used, a teenager's illegal file-sharing could lead to the family internet access being removed.

Good thing the Brit gubmint had the foresight to disarm the subjects before pulling this crap ... even so, I bet there  will be running battles in the streets before the next winter ...
