Norman Siegel, a long-time civil libertarian, says he supports full-body scans at airports. The scanners see through clothing and show an outline of the body. Siegel says federal officials have told him sensitive areas such as the genitals can be blurred and plastic explosives will still show up on the scan. He supports this technology as a choice over what he considers more invasive -- physical pat-downs.

After the first thousand or so, I can't picture a screener even noticing what a person looks like in the scan ...
