Security ... think about it!
“This is a way we can better protect ourselves,” said board Chairman Jeff Stone, who authored the resolution that was approved on a 3-1 vote. “I want to make sure our citizens have that ability.” Riverside County Sheriff Stanley Sniff said late Tuesday that he welcomes the suggestions by Supervisors, but indicated it will do little to change policies. “In the end, each decision is based upon the reasonableness of need and the background of the applicant,” Sniff said in a written response to several questions. “There are training requirements and high standards required of each applicant to rigorously match the public trust involved in granting” the permits.”
