Baroness Neville-Jones, Shadow security minister, said: “Over the years there has been a huge rise in the number of anti-terrorism stops and searches but very few arrests and charges have followed. We also know that this power has been used inappropriately. It is reported that even the Government’s Minister for Security and Counter Terrorism has been stopped and searched.
